Kohlrabi is Up: It is a Great Vegetable!

My kohlrabi is maturing and I am picking it. I grew them in seed trays and the transplanting went perfectly fine. They are cold tolerant and went in, oh... Aprilish. 

I used the leaves in salads and stir fries while the root matured. The root matures above ground. The root taste like a cross between sweet cabbage and broccoli. I eat it like an apple. It has a hint of apple sweetness to it.
