Cool Weather Vegetables: Nudge NUDGE!

Visted My Youtube Tomato and Vegetable Garden Video Channel: Videos About Everything Vegetable Gardening

There is still plenty of time to get a lot of your cool weather crops in. You probably have to skip broccoli and cauliflower but there are a lot of other seeds you can put right in the ground.

I am starting my second planting of radishes this weekend. So... radish can definitely go in as the mature in 28 to 40 days. I also planted peas as per my video a few days ago. With 65 days of maturity that take you into mid June which is fine for peas.

Lettuces can go in. Spinach can go in. Kohlrabi can go in. I have cilantro coming up, it likes cool weather.

Kale can go in. I'll be blogging about transplants this weekend. I have kales and Chinese cabbage going in.

I will also be transplanting my tomatoes to larger cups and building a hot-house tomato cage. Because I will be putting a tomato out now! Experimental...

Have Fun! The season is here!

  1. Noooooo.. my collards and kale look like they all just froze. Is it too late to start over?

  2. No its not to late but I have pictures of frozen kale and collards and lettuce. Search frost and lettuce.

My point! They should defrost and be fine. Just leave them in the ground. Their cell structure doesnt burst when frozen.

If something is going to frost you want it to be kales and collards.
