What's Growing at the Rusted Garden: Perennial Progress (Herbs)

I started my perennial herbs indoors on January 5th and this their progress. You can leave the plants in the dark for, at most, 5 days but then the grow lights need to go on for 10-14 hours a day. These pictures were taken after 6 days.

Thyme, oregano, and chives typically sprout under 7 days. Thyme won the race this time and sprouted in 4 days. You still have time to get your perennial herbs started indoors. Starting them now will give you a good sized transplant.
